The picture above is Mulberry Street on the Lower East Side in 1900. The one below is not labelled (we’re not looking at Rivington, but rather one of the streets crossing it. Orchard? Eldridge?) but is something similar. You can hardly make out the tenements behind the busyness of the streets.
