That picture shows, dead center, far from my favorite skyscraper in what is absolutely my favorite pose. One World Trade Center, with its head (and torso) in the clouds…we’re seeing maybe half the building below the bottom of the cloud. Lower Manhattan gets a fair amount of fog, courtesy of the nearby bay, and also a fair amount of rain from low clouds. I took this shot on the cusp of rain ending and leaving us with the fog.
Seeing a skyscraper like this is both a reminder of how tall these buildings are and a piece of found art.
