The building above, quite modern for its 1938 construction date, is Baťa’s Skyscraper, built as the headquarters of a Czech corporation. It is interesting in a number of ways, but the truly weird aspect to it is that the boss’s office is an elevator that opens at every floor. No description can match seeing it, so here’s a video exploration:
