Searching my usual sources for “St. Patrick’s Day” turned up the menu above. Personally, I don’t find that to be particularly appealing for consumption anywhere; in 1940, United was flying DC-3s and that menu is spectacularly unappealing for use in a 20-seat plane with a cabin less than 8 feet wide. In other words, technological context matters when looking at social artifacts.
