Angie just brought this section of the 1908 NYC Building Code to the attention of the office. The past is always more complicated than it seems at first: New York in 1908 had gleaming modern skyscrapers and electric-powered subways, but apparently it was still necessary to tell people not to drive their swine through the streets of Brooklyn. I assume that driving swine in Queens was still okay at that time.
