Not Rocking Chairs

From Peanuts and Core77, a discussion of how “modern” is a moving target. (You’ve got to click on that link, or this will all be gibberish.) Charles Schultz, in 1953, was making a point about traditional forms of design being displaced by the new, so that small children might be confused; Rain Noe, in 2023, is making a point about how the new becomes the old. Both points are worth thinking about.
