After the demolition and caisson madness of the last three days, here are some nice calming pictures of the heavy-timber bracing used for support of excavation at the Banker’s Trust site. Above, the start of the excavation and bracing, looking into the site from the corner of Wall and Nassau Streets. Below, three weeks later, looking south to Wall Street.

And two weeks after that, looking south again. Similar to the work at 15 Broad Street, the bracing is a huge three-dimensional grid of big timbers:
