Slow, But Faster Than Original

My in-home team for rebuilding Notre Dame – LEGO Notre Dame – has fallen behind schedule. As of today, we’re about up to where the Parisians were in 1200 or so. From a month ago, construction of the nave walls:

and the forest of nave columns:

From yesterday, the nave walls and clerestory largely complete:

and a close-up showing the arches connecting the four columns in a group:

LEGO models are typically more or less complete on the inside, where the detail can’t be seen. In this case, there was no attempt to create the interior vaulting, which is represented by flat planes, but the visible structure in the nave and choir is fairly complete. And takes a lot of little pieces to make.
